BioVie showcases Long COVID and Parkinson’s data at ANA2026, with findings in Annals of Neurology
BioVie Inc (NASDAQ:BIVI, NASDAQ:BIVIW) CEO Cuong Do joined Proactive's Stephen Gunnion after the company presented findings from its Long COVID and Parkinson’s disease trials at the American Neurological Association’s Annual Meeting in San Diego. The Long COVID study findings were published in the peer-reviewed journal Annals of Neurology, alongside the meeting. In the ADDRESS-LC Long COVID study, BioVie reported statistically significant improvements in pre-specified subgroups of patients with a high burden of symptoms, including fatigue, cognitive impairment and post-exertional malaise. Do discusses the findings on brain fog and fatigue, and the case for a confirmatory Phase 3 trial. The interview also covered SUNRISE-PD, where bezisterim showed statistically significant improvements versus placebo across measures of motor and non-motor symptoms. Do highlighted a composite endpoint covering 15 clinically relevant measures, with 25% of treated patients experiencing meaningful improvement compared with 4% on placebo. Looking ahead, Do discussed BioVie’s engagement with the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on the proposed Phase 3 design for Parkinson’s, with formal feedback expected around mid-December.
