Airfares are getting ridiculous. Airline stocks have struggled in recent weeks as oil prices have climbed back above $100 a barrel. With airlines significantly hiking airfares in August, it suggests the largest U.S. carriers are well-placed to mitigate much of the increase in fuel costs.
