HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding Awarded Contract Modification for DDG 1002 Sea Trials

PASCAGOULA, Miss., Oct. 19, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- HII’s (NYSE: HII) Ingalls Shipbuilding division has been awarded a $99 million contract modification from the U.S. Navy to conduct sea trials for the Zumwalt-class destroyer Lyndon B. Johnson (DDG 1002). The ship arrived at Ingalls in January 2022 to complete the installation, activation and testing of the combat systems. “This award reflects the Navy’s continued confidence in the Ingalls team to execute the critical system test and sea trials
