Earnings Call
Earnings Season
An earnings call is a conference call or webcast that management holds shortly after releasing results, open to analysts and investors.
It usually starts with prepared remarks from management and continues with questions from analysts. The reasons behind the numbers, the rationale for guidance and management's tone come out here. The stock can change direction during the call, after the results themselves are already out.
