Trendline

Technical Analysis

A trendline is a straight line drawn on a chart through successive lows (in an uptrend) or successive highs (in a downtrend).

It makes the direction and slope of a trend visible at a glance. The number of times price touches the line is taken as a measure of how reliable it is. Because the choice of points is up to whoever draws it, two analysts can draw different lines on the same chart.
