Companies

Why These Companies

The industry splits into three business models and the list carries all three: fabless designers (Nvidia, AMD, Broadcom, Qualcomm, Marvell, Arm), manufacturers working on contract or on their own account (TSMC, Intel, Micron, SK hynix, SanDisk, Texas Instruments), and equipment suppliers (ASML, Applied Materials, Lam Research, KLA). NXP, onsemi, Microchip and Analog Devices lean on automotive and industrial chips and can sit at a different point of the cycle. ASML, TSMC and SK hynix have their primary listing outside the US, so their market cap is left blank.

The list is an editorial selection, not investment advice. It is sorted by market cap; companies whose primary listing is outside the US are left blank because their market cap is not comparable.
