Operating Cash Flow
Valuation & Fundamentals
The net cash a company's core operations bring in over a period.
It starts from net income, adds back non-cash expenses such as depreciation and stock-based compensation, and adjusts for changes in receivables, inventory and payables. A persistent and growing gap between net income and operating cash flow raises questions about the quality of earnings.
